Mia Milton

Hello! My name is Mia Milton and I am a Philadelphia resident and a proud graduate of Temple University. I graduated from Temple in May of 2022 with a degree in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. I am currently working full-time as a laboratory technician where I run various assays with rats and mice. I have 3 years of laboratory experience including injections, surgeries, after-care, and animal handling. I am enthusiastic about my continued growth in the field!

Lewis Katz School of Medicine - 2021 to Current

• Gene purification/isolation using QPCR
• Executed numerous conditioned place preference and locomotor experiments
• Conducted various pain assays (i.e. Hot Plate, Catalepsy, Allodynia, Formalin)
• Performed jugular vein catheterization surgeries and ran multiple self-administration studies
• Experience working with both rats and mice
