About Melissa Riley:

I am a customer-focused cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience in solving complex problems and driving meaningful change. My passion lies in making a difference through innovation and collaboration. I thrive in environments where I can tackle tough challenges and leave behind a legacy of transformational improvements.
Throughout my career, I have established new security services and transformed existing ones into global centers of excellence. I love finding new ways to achieve secure development and continuous improvement. One of my proudest achievements was founding the DevSecOps movement at my previous company, leading to widespread adoption across all global organizations. This initiative not only introduced new practices but also reshaped how security is integrated into DevOps, Engineering and Ops teams creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
I thrive connecting teams and value streams frameworks with change. I believe relationships have to be built on trust and meeting people where they are to build a new inclusive vision. My dedication to advancing the industry led me to co-author The Six Pillars of DevSecOps: Collective Responsibility Key Considerations for Developing a Security-Supportive Culture with the Cloud Security Alliance.
