Megan Pridgen

I am about to graduate from Florida State University with my Master's of Information Science degree. I have been employed thought the library system as an Assistant for a year and a half and am ready to begin my career as a librarian. 

I was tasked with many responsibilities at my current job including checking returns, organizing and running programs, and I am on a “Recipes and Reads” committee to help address healthy food habits for families. 

I am team player and continuous learner who has always loved libraries.

Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant-Server 2011 – 2021

Provided superior customer service to guests. Multi-tasked under a high-stress environment to ensure guest satisfaction. Wrote the employee manual still used by the establishment.

New Smyrna Beach Regional Library - Library Assistant 2021 – present

Created and assisted in programming. Assisted working in any areas of the library as needed. Assisted the library patrons regarding guidance, references, information, and other library facilities
