Maryam Mohammadpour

I am Maryam Mohammadpour. I will get my Ph.D. in August but will be open to work from May. This is because I only Have to defend in August. I am interested in coastal/ocean engineering modeling and simulation and am open to any new challenges in my professional career. 

 I got my degree in Naval architecture and marine engineering, which gives me the fundamentals to get deep in my field of study. After that, I got my master's at the Sharif University of Technology and focused on numerical modeling. I also worked on modeling the pollution and the effect of wave currents on artificial structures/islands and the coastal areas. In my Ph.D., I focused on modeling big wave propagation like a tsunami and studied their impact on the coastal zone. Also, I was able to work on an NSF project to create a coastal hazard map. 

I will get my Ph.D. in ocean engineering. I have masters in marine/mechanical engineering and a bachelor's in naval architecture. I  had an important course like wave mechanicals and used the BEM for a different course of studies. Also, I know Hydrodynamics and can work with high-performance computing systems.
