About Marquetta Evans:

Hi, My name is Marquetta Evans. I am a recent graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a B.S in Mass Comm: Multimedia Journalism. I currently reside in St. Louis, MO. I am looking for an entry level job as a reporter or print journalist. 

Experience

Working as an Arrow Reporter for the Southeast Arrow, the student-ran  newspaper, I did the following: 

  • Write feature stories on campus life and student activities 
  • Interview people from diverse backgrounds
  • Create multimedia packages to accompany print stories
  • Pitch stories on a regular basis
  • Participate in Arrow lab meetings
  • Design graphics for the Special Sections during Spring 2021 semester
  • Contributed with peers in organizing First Amendment Day

During my time as an Arrow Reporter at Southeast Missouri State University, I received recognition for my work.

  • Most Popular Story – the week of April 21, 2021 – May 4, 2021

Education

I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Spring 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Comm: Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Writing. 

I made the Dean's List for the following semesters: Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021.
