About Markessa Anderson:
I am currently a high school English teacher who is looking to move out of the classroom and into a new role. I have taught high school and technical college level for 20 years and six, respectively. Along with being an educator, I have customer service experience through retail and food and beverage work.
Experience
I taught English in North Carolina from 2007 to 2013.
Then I moved to South Carolina and taught English from 2013 to present. I taught English 101, 102, 201, and 202 at Technical College of the Lowcountry from 2014-2016. I have taught English 101, 102, and 155 at York Technical College since 2022.
Education
Undergraduate: Bachelor of Science in Integrated Language Arts from Ohio University in 2006.
Masters: Master of Art in English from Morehead State University in 2014.
