I am currently taking a year off following the third year of medical school, and am seeking to continue gaining clinical experience as a medical scribe and/or assistant.

Medical Scribe - St John Medical Group

Worked alongside the physician, documenting patient visits via Electronic Medical Record, including physical examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, test orders, and billing information. Obtained patient medical records from prior visits (EKG, X-ray results, etc.), conducted research regarding certain illnesses and medications, and generated patient referral letters to physicians and other caregivers.

Administrative Assistant - Inscriptions Children's Clinic

Performed various administrative duties, communicated with patients via telephone or email, scheduled appointments, and maintained medical records and documents. Documented the physician’s notes into the Electronic Medical Record and prepared patient examination rooms.

Pharmacy Assistant - Santa Maria Pharmacy

Billed insurance companies for patients’ medications and processed prescriptions into electronic data records. Prepared prescription labels as well as delivery confirmation receipts and delivered medications to residential and affiliated health care facilities.
