Mark Bellncula

I bring a unique blend of creative direction and geospatial expertise to my work as a cartographer and GIS analyst. As the founder of Bell & Koola G.I.S. OPS, I have produced custom maps, spatial analyses, and aerial imagery for clients including the Crested Butte Land Trust, Mountain Studies Institute, and the University at Albany. My professional foundation spans over 15 years in creative direction and motion design, where I honed my ability to manage complex projects, communicate visual data effectively, and craft narratives through design. This combination of analytical precision and visual storytelling informs every cartographic project I create.

I earned a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Colorado Mountain College, where I was named to the President’s List in Spring 2023. My studies focused on spatial analysis, cartographic design, and remote sensing, which I have since applied professionally through environmental and land-use mapping. I continue to expand my technical expertise through participation in GIS Colorado events, presentations, and collaborations that bridge design, geography, and storytelling in the geospatial domain.
