My name is Marjorie Webster-Direny. I am a highly motivated, hard-working, well rounded educator.  I am knowledgeable and have many years of professional experience in social community services, education, and administrative work.

I am searching for the opportunity to work as an educator where I can put my skills and training into good use. As an educator, I had the unique opportunity to help children and parents in a way that no one else can. Knowing that you can make a difference in a child's life is one of the things that makes this job so rewarding and I am looking forward to enhance my skills in this field.

I've served as liason between students and all others concerned. I have the knowledge needed to assess high risk situations and make recommendations based on the risk factors involved. I have the abilit to promote good developmen by helping students utilize the resources available to them based on their individual need. My experience includes providing counseling sessions to at risk/mandated students, parents, and staff on behavioral management and coping strategies. I've also created Behaviora Intervention Plans (BIP), facilitated meetings, observations and teacher reports to provide feedback and the best course of action to all parties involved (Parents, administration, teachers). I also create differentiated lessons, activities and assignments. I am knowledgeable on the gradual release model (I do, we do, you do), scaffolding, flexible grouping and equitable instruction. I have a strong foundation in this field and over 20 years experience working with children and families.

I obtained my Reading Endorsement,  from Palm Beach Schools District. I have my Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from Stony Brook University. I am currently in the doctoral program and anticipate on getting my Doctorate Degree in Education (EDD) by the end of 2022.
