Hello, my name is Marilyn Moore. For seven years, I have worked for two non-profits as a Museum Curator, and for one, I have also served as the Grant Manager and Writer for three years. I also volunteered at a third non-profit as a newsletter editor for four years.

Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina | 2024 – present

Work as a Museum Curator on a joint project between the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina and the Mills Home Alumni Association to move artifacts from the 1885 Mitchell Museum to a new facility and inventory the current artifacts.

I volunteered for the Nevada Museums Association, serving on their board and as the newsletter editor.

Archive and Project Curator

Churchill County Museum | 2019 – 2024

I worked as the Archivist and Project Curator for the Churchill County Museum. This includes duties such as exhibit creation, newsletter creation, volunteer coordination, grant writing and management, and visitor relations.

• Co-created 22 exhibits, digitized and transcribed oral histories, aided researchers, completed research requests, and submitted newspaper blurbs
• Coordinated the remodel of the archival storage room
• Applied for three grants, managed five grant projects, and coordinated volunteers
