I have recently moved back to the east coast after living and working in my hometown of Maui, Hawaii for the past 10 years.  I gained a lot of experience working and living back in Hawaii because the cost of living required me to be taking on 2 or more jobs.  I once worked 3 jobs 6 days a week.  I learned to balance my time and budget so that the jobs were a means to an end.  Gain experience and utilize my time to grow into a worker that I would hire.    Trustworthy, always looking to improve myself, able to work with a team and also self-directed and teachable.  I find myself passionate about training people and uplifting people on a day to day.  I have been blessed to work with great mentors that patiently showed me the ropes and would love to work side by side with leaders that would like to mentor me to gain experience that would lift up the workforce and meet our goals in finance, guest numbers and loyalty.  I am comfortable interacting with diverse employees and clients where we meet our company goals and mutual respect all input no matter how small.  I once noticed a team member who would always start her conversations with me by telling me how many years she had been at that company.  It was telling me a lot about how she felt unappreciated and undervalued.  Once I gave her the floor for a pre shift I was running so she could share a story that I had heard originally in a one-on-one conversation.  The mood shifted with her once she was able to tell the story that highlighted her many years of experience and how she dealt with the issue that was a valuable learning tool for the entire staff.  LISTENING SO IMPORTANT IN ANY JOB.  Listening and not reacting.  I would love to be in a management training program and have taken steps to reach out to resorts that align with my job and career values.  

10 plus years in Retail, Hospitality and Childcare arena 

Associate degree in Early Childhood, BA in Sociology.  Trained in supervisor role and hospitality cultural knowledge of Hawaii.  CPR and First Aid certified
