About Maria Burtch:

I am a hard working, reliable, and motivated individual. My whole life I have been committed to pursing my ultimate goal of  helping people manage their chronic disease with food as medicine, exercise, and healthy living habits. I am also passionate about using my hands to heal people through the use of osteopathic manipulative medicine. 

Experience

I have experience caring for the elderly as well as patients with dementia as a CNA. I have also taken care of research animals as a student research assistant. In addition, I have been a human anatomy teaching assistant which involved helping teach undergraduate students anatomy in the cadaver lab. 

I have held various leadership roles at my school including president of Lifestyle Medicine Club, vice president of Student Academy of Osteopathy, and President of running club. 

Education

I graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE with a 3.95 GPA and a degree in Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions. 

I have completed two years of osteopathic medical school at ATSU-KCOM. While attending school I have learned about all the body systems and have completed over 200 hours in osteopathic manipulative medicine. My current GPA is a 3.78.
