Margarita Santillan

I am a student interested in finding employment in the food/customer service, retail industries or social services. 

Since a young age, I have worked in food/customer/retail services, attaining several jobs in fast food restaurants. After entering college, I earned a position working at my college's multicultural center as a receptionist and with the admissions office as a Student Orientation Leader, giving tours of the campus and getting students involved with different resources and offices at school.

I am a college senior that has studies Psychology and Womens', Gender and Sexuality Studies for the past 3 years. Throughout this time, I have developed greater knowledge surrounding social issues, such as the causes and effects drug addiction, violence and poverty. Because of my dedication to my education, I have achieved a place on my university's College of Arts and Sciences Deans' List for 2 years and several on campus jobs. Due to these jobs, I socialize with people of all economic, academic, religious, racial/ethnic and professional backgrounds, allowing me to initiate and maintain appropriate conversations with different social identities.
