Mandi Garcia

I have 30 years of experience working in healthcare. I love to serve others in multiple capacities whether it is hands on patient care or behind the scenes. I have a strong work ethic, I excel with multi-tasking, anticipate the needs of my team and am efficient. I believe open communication is the key to success. I am a peace keeper by nature and enjoy making people laugh.

I started out as a C.N.A. and have worked in Long Term Care, Home Health Care, Private Duty, Acute and Sub Acute Care. I have experience as a Unit Clerk and ED Tech in the Emergency Department and other clinical areas. I have worked as a Customer Service Rep in medical clinics as well as Managing an Alzheimer’s Care Facility. I enjoyed working in the histology department in a large hospital. I love to learn new things all the time and welcome any opportunity to broaden my knowledge and skill set.

I have taken multiple Health Science courses and continue to take online classes when my work/life schedule allows. Working hands on in the medical field with amazing clinical and non clinical staff has given me the most applicable knowledge.  My college and vocational courses offered knowledge and provided me with a skill set it has been my years of work experience that has been most valuable.  I am very teachable and am a fast learner. 
 

I received my Pharmacy Technician License at College of Western Idaho in 2011 and am also a member of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.  I am currently working at West Valley Medical Center as a Pharmacy Technician Specialist/Lead Tech. I have been here for over 13 years.  I also have my American Heart Association BLS Certification.
