Mackenzie Wallace is a licensed attorney with extensive experience in government affairs, political campaigns, and policy advocacy at both the state and federal levels, with a focus on Alzheimer’s, dementia, public health, and workforce development. At the state level, she lobbies on behalf of her chapter, drafts policy, and advances bipartisan legislation while serving on numerous councils, committees, and task forces that impact older adults and caregivers. She collaborates with agencies such as Health, Medicaid Services, and Aging and Independent Living to drive initiatives that improve education, awareness, and quality of life for those affected by dementia, securing key legislative victories including dementia training requirements, the establishment and funding of the Office of Dementia Services, regulatory overhauls in assisted living, and integration of brain health into chronic disease management. At the federal level, she leads engagement with Congress through direct advocacy, strategic communications, and leadership of eight Alzheimer’s Congressional Teams, consistently achieving top national rankings for effectiveness. She organizes Capitol Hill visits, builds bipartisan support among Kentucky’s delegation, and presents federal priorities clearly to advocates, effectively navigating diverse political landscapes to advance policy goals. In addition, Mackenzie has served in senior roles on political campaigns, where she directed fundraising, managed strategy, and built coalitions, further strengthening her expertise in bipartisan relationship-building and advocacy.
