Mackenzie Mayer

Hi! I am an aspiring physician assistant focused on gaining the experience I need to be a competitive applicant and successful PA. I am a trained phlebotomy technician (registered to take the NHA CPT exam) and passionate about learning as much as I can. 

I graduated cum laude with a BS in biology (pre M.D. / pre-prof) from Kennesaw State University in December of 2023. During undergrad, I worked as a student laboratory assistant in the microbiology department. After graduating, I began working in procurement at an interior design firm while I considered the next steps for my true career aspirations. I want to be a PA because of the autonomy and lateral mobility it affords, as well as its associated work-life balance. 

Currently I am looking for shadowing opportunities, reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, and playing a lot of Hello Kitty Island Adventure on my switch. Please feel free to reach out to me via direct message or email :)

Worked as a student laboratory assistant in the microbiology department at Kennesaw State University during undergraduate education. Responsibilities included preparing solutions, samples, and specimens for testing; maintaining lab inventory; and training department lab aides on procedures and requirements. After graduating, served as purchasing specialist for Design Environments Inc. where duties included purchasing, reviewing, and confirming orders for projects; maintaining proper records of purchases and orders; liaising with vendors and designers to ensure that orders would make install dates; and coordinating the pick up and delivery of orders with third party carriers and warehouses around the country.

Graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a BS in biology (pre-med / pre-prof) in December of 2023. Completed phlebotomy technician certification course through KSU in August 2025 and registered for NHA CPT exam (national certification expected September).
