An energetic and charismatic Registered Dental Assistant with 13+ years of experience in periodontal and pediatric dentistry, excellent communication skills, direct patient care, front office, administrative duties experience, general office management, and an Oral health care advocate. 

I graduated from Southern California Regional Occupational Center (SCROC) in 2007.  I completed my internship at Dr. Ducar and Shepard DDS, INC. a Periodontal office which led to my permanent full-time hiring.  I worked with the Geriatric, with a variety of health conditions.  I assisted both Periodontists in four handed dentistry, which consisted of dental implants, gum surgeries such as: crown lengthenings, free tissue grafts, distal wedges and frenectomies. Other duties included: charting, taking x-rays, polishing, routine laboratory functions, suture removal, scheduling and office management.  Always maintained proper universal precautions and infection control procedures. I enjoyed my time at this office very much, but after 8 years I felt the need to expand my work experience and ventured out.

USC Dental School of Pediatric Dentistry became my work family for 5 years.  I worked with underprivileged low-income families, and DCFS foster care system. Treating special needs children with a variety of health conditions. Led a large team of student resident dentists through implementations and transitions.  Successfully completed restorative treatment while maintaining a calm and collective setting.  Monitored and assisted Anesthesiologist during general anesthesia treatment. Other duties included: digital x-rays, panoramic radiographs, routine laboratory tasks, impressions, and trimming. Participated in community patient outreach and educational fairs which in my opinion was the best part of my job description.

My most relevant education is the completion of a yoga teacher training program with the Kaivalya Yoga Method Academy.  I completed a 200hr program which allows me to teach anywhere in the state of California.  I am also qualified to register with the yoga alliance board.  This program has fully prepared me to teach an adult yoga class for a full 60 minute class.
