Linda Parente

With 21 years of teaching experience and many years in the business world, I feel I have the qualifications to be successful in this role, as a career advisor.  I have experience teaching subjects such as career exploration, web design, financial literacy, workplace learning, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power point).  I am passionate to teach students how to succeed in school, work, and life. Teaching how to maintain a healthy and balanced life is always intertwined in my curriculum at NPHS.  Words that may describe me are:  Empathetic,  Optimistic, Kind, Open-minded, Independent, and Professional.

I have many years teaching business classes at the secondary public school level.  In addition to teaching a variety of classes, I have many years experience as a yearbook advisor and a LifeSmarts coach. 

I also contribute to our family's business in the area of sales, marketing, and other essential duties.

I have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from URI.  I also have a master's degree from RIC (MATC).
