July 28, 2022 - August 11, 2022

During this clinical rotation, I had the responsibility of implementing an individualized plan of care for ventilated patients and evaluating the patient’s responses to treatments. I performed hourly neuro assessments and safely administered vasopressors, analgesics, and antihypertensives under RN supervision in accordance with the unit policy and clinical judgment. I had the opportunity to incorporate the family's unique differences into care and build rapport. 

St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family Clinical- Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, 48 hours

July 17, 2022 - July 24, 2022

During this clinical rotation, I had the opportunity to assist in a vaginal birth as well as in a cesarean section where I mastered labor protocol and procedures. During labor, I applied the TOCO and ultrasound transducer to the patient and assisted in reading the fetal heart rate monitor. I performed additional essential skills such as a head-to-toe assessment on the baby, administered a Hep B shot, performed a baby bath, and administered analgesics under RN supervision. Critical skills were practiced by performing fundal massage on a postpartum hemorrhage patient as well as collecting, weighing, and documenting the amount of blood loss. 

Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family Clinical- Pediatric ER, Pediatric Renal Floor, 48 hours

June 26, 2022 - July 03, 2022

During this clinical rotation, I assisted in providing care to pediatric patients during medical emergencies. I developed communication skills specific to the pediatric population and explained medical procedures to their understanding. I provided empathy and assisted in administering medications under RN supervision. 

St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Adult Health Nursing I Clinical- Telemetry, 144 hours

February 26, 2022 - April 09, 2022

During this clinical rotation, I had the responsibility of providing pre-operative and post-operative care, administering medications under RN supervision, providing patient education on the client’s medications, and taking part in analyzing focused assessments and client conditions. 

Connections Health Solutions, Behavioral Health Nursing Clinical- Observation Unit/Inpatient, 48 hours

February 02, 2022 - February 09, 2022

During this clinical rotation, I had the responsibility of shadowing an RN who advised me on how to interact with a variety of mental health conditions. I provided therapeutic communication to clients as well as take part in admissions and observe processes such as sedation and seclusions and the various medications used within the observation unit setting.

October 29, 2021 - November 19, 2021

During this clinical rotation, I had the responsibility of mastering practical skills such as bed baths, bed changes, oral hygiene, assisting clients to the bedside commodes and or utilizing bed urinals and pans, and assisting the RN with fundamental tasks I was allowed to partake in. 

I currently attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I am Recieving my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Expected December 2022). I have a 3.60 GPA.
