Lia Avery

Hello there! I'm Lia, a freshman at a community college aiming to transfer to the University of Massachusetts Amherst's biology program next year. My ultimate goal is to earn my bachelor's degree in science and gain valuable experience in the health field. I am willing to commute and am characterized by my attentiveness, reliability, and eagerness to get ahead and start developing skills that align with my desired career path. I am highly motivated to pursue my education further and have set my sights on applying to the CAA program. To get a head start, I am eager to fully immerse myself within the healthcare community and gain valuable experience along the way. As finding resources for this career can be challenging, I am reaching out in hopes of connecting with individuals who can point me in the right direction. I have no prior healthcare experience, but I'm extremely eager to gain some. I have worked as a hostess twice, most recently at Chiara Bistro, a high-end restaurant in Westwood, and Mickmorgans as my first job. I also worked as a cashier/sales associate my sophomore year of high school and packaged candy over the summer. 

Currently attending Massasoit planning to transfer to UMass Ahmers as biology student in a year.
