Leanne Latocha

I recently received my master's degree in applied behavior analysis from Western Michigan University. During my time at Western, I specialized in assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior. I also gained experience in skill building programming and behavior analytic research. I am looking to advance my skills as I prepare to sit for my BCBA exam. 

During my time at Western, I gained experience in behavior modification at several practicum sites. I served as a graduate clinician at KRESA West Campus and on the Psychological Assessment and Treatment Services team. I also served as assistant project coordinator for the KRESA Classroom Consultations team.  

At KRESA West Campus, I conducted VB-MAPP assessments, developed skill building programs, and wrote behavior intervention plans for preschool students enrolled in early childhood special education classes. I also provided supervision to 10+ undergraduate clinicians. 

While on the Psychological Assessment and Treatment Services team, I served as primarly clinician for 14 clients. My duties as primary clinican included conducting functional behaivor assessments to determine the function of severe challenging behaviors, write function-based treatments, and monitor/provide coaching to caregivers that implemented the recommended treatment. 

As assistant project coordinator on the KRESA Classroom Consultations team, I helped lead a small team that provides services to preschool students and preschool classrooms with behavior management concerns. As assistant project coordinator I helped conduct functional behavior assessments, wrote treatment plans, and provided coaching to preschool teachers. I also helped supervise and train a couple of undergraduate clinicans on the team.

I completed my bachelor's degree at Olivet Nazarene University. There I earned a B.S. in Psychology and minored in English, Literature, and Spanish. I received my M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University.
