About Leah Miller:

I have always enjoyed nature and dreamed of having a successful career working in nature. As a dedicated worker, I strive to obtain the best results and care from my work. My main goal is to have a career as a wildlife expert and caregiver. My long-term goal is to find a community and friends who are just as passionate about animals and nature as I am. All my energy will be directed towards the animals and assignments given to me.

Experience

I have years of experience handling many types of animals, including horses, amphibians, and reptiles of all sizes, including small crocodiles. I am also certified in handling and transporting venomous snakes. I have experience working with parrots, songbirds, owls, weasels, and various rodent species. I received this experience from friends of the family ranch, Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic, Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary, and research projects conducted by Arizona State University.

Education

I have an undergraduate degree in Applied Biological Sciences: Natural Resource Ecology, and a certification in Wildlife Management. While pursuing my undergraduate degree I volunteered, interned, and worked with reptiles, amphibians, avians, mammals, and semi-aquatic animals. I was Arizona State University Wildlife Restorations Student Association Vice President and Treasurer. I was awarded best volunteer for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts in 2023.
