Laurie Ildau

I have been a United States certified English teacher for 20 years grades prek through 12. The last 15 years I dedicated to our youngest learners in early childhood education, ages 3-7.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and 60 units post-grad in education.  I hold three teaching credentials. I am a US and EU citizen (Germany) and would like to relocate overseas for work and experience a new life chapter.  I am single mother of two wonderful young adult children in university, and have two lifelong canine friends that I require travel with me.  I seek to immerse myself in new cultures, especially that of my maternal heritage- Italian!  I use a Reggio Emilia style of hands-on experimental learning, yet have the knowledge and flexibility to adjust learning to the student's prior knowledge and learning styles.   I am available to start Summer of 2023.  

I have taught public school grade prekindergarten through grade 12 since 1997.  My specialty is young children ages 4-7, but enjoy working with all ages.  I also owned my own Reggio Emilia inspired preschool and was the Directress of a public school Early Childhood Development program serving 200 children over three school sites. When Covid hit, I began to teach virtually online.  For the last two years, I taught kindergarten students online from home. 

I hold 60 units post-graduate after my bachelor's degree in English from University of New York.
