As a team leader, primary speech-language pathologist specializing in head and neck oncology, tracheostomy, and airway management, I’ve spent more than a decade leading multidisciplinary teams in complex care settings. My passion lies in translating frontline expertise into safer systems — where clinicians are supported, communication is prioritized, and patient outcomes improve through design, not heroics. At Mission Health (HCA), I’ve led initiatives that strengthened airway safety, advanced FEES/VFSS calibration, and helped create pathways for tumor board collaboration and survivorship care. As a Certified Professional in Human Factors in Healthcare (CPHFH) and Executive MBA candidate, I apply systems thinking and organizational design to solve what often feels unsolvable in healthcare: workflow inequity, siloed communication, and burnout born from broken structures.
