Duties, Accomplishments, and Related Skills:
•Support Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division by providing a variety of docketing and office support services.
•Develop and maintain automated records for criminal case workload from initial referral to final disposition.
•Work with attorneys to verify case information
•Receive and review incoming case files and mail
•Update the docketing database to record status changes in terms of docketed.
•Update and publish Weekly Criminal Calendar for U.S. Attorneys.
•Communicate daily with U.S. Attorneys and law enforcement agents as to pre-indictment forms, complaints, and indictment status.
Veterans Service Representative (Rater) U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Duties, Accomplishments, and Related Skills:
• Analyzes claims to determine if diseases and/or injuries were incurred or aggravated by military service in the line of duty for purposes of compensation, treatment or hospitalization.
• Determine service-connection percentages of disabilities permanent and total disability and entitlement to compensation, pension and vocational training.
• Assure that application of the rating schedule and other applications instructions are properly applied, and I’m fully accountable for proper analysis, appropriate development, and final rating determinations.
• Consults with and gives advice and assistance to Veteran Service Representatives.
• Regularly participates in meetings and training sessions to assist in lending expertise in developing VSR’s skills as they relate to evidence gathering for rating decisions.
• Advocate for Veterans and their beneficiaries in their dealings with other VA elements and organizations that affect their claims.
