Kristopher McDowell

Kristopher McDowell is the co-founder of Rhizome Arts Consulting (April 2019) and founder of KMP Artists (November 2004) where he also served as CEO for 13 years in the United States and is responsible for the company's expansion in Asia. He now serves as a Consultant primarily for KMP Artists (for Asia, MENA & Special Projects), and also for other arts organizations and companies such as the, West Australian Ballet; Charlotte Ballet; Cleo Parker Robinson Dance; Mummenschanz Foundation.

In hid ongoing efforts to procure opportunities for international cultural exchange that have been tailored for strategic community impact. McDowell has toured major projects to/from fifteen countries in Asia and the Middle East and has produced or toured over one 1,200 performances in North America.

Additionally, McDowell is an experienced instructor in performing arts management. For over four years Kristopher was a faculty member of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy Los Angeles (Bachelor of Fine Arts Program); and he continues to present workshops and lectures at festivals and conferences around the Globe.

From Spring of 2020 to date, he has served on professional development, programming and has provided general support and guidance for the industries first virtual conferences and arts markets including Dance/USA; Arts Midwest; Western Arts Alliance; Theatre Communications Group; North Carolina Presenters; and the Association of Performing Arts Professionals. McDowell is also an outgoing member of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees for Dance/USA as well as the former Chair for the Agents, Manager, Producers and Promoters Council.
