Healthcare
About Kristina Schaufele:
I am a Neuroscience, Computer Science, and Chemistry student interested in healthcare and its related professional routes with computer science and research. I have experience thinking critically, developing ideas, and presenting projects/background research at multiple symposiums through my clinical and basic science research, as well as skills in effective communication and teamwork from direct patient care and collaborative extracurricular efforts, in which I orchestrated events with up to 150 participants. Looking forward, I hope to utilize my strengths and experience to improve healthcare outcomes in an interdisciplinary career.
Experience
I have research experience working in the Duke Velmeshev Neurobiology lab underneath the Huang Fellowship, as well as the Duke Acker Cognitive Neuroscience and Anesthesiology lab underneath the Summer Neuroscience Fellowship and throughout my undergraduate career. I also have worked intermittently as a private tutor for Northside Tutoring for several years.
Education
I am a senior at Duke University, intending to graduate with honors in the Neuroscience major and with Chemistry and Computer Science minors.
