Kristina Aleksanyan is a dynamic and accomplished international affairs professional with diverse experience in research, program coordination, consulting, and public policy. She currently serves as Program Coordinator at the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, where she manages high-level operations, event planning, and fellowship administration. Her background includes consulting for the U.S. Department of State on Russian influence in Armenia, supporting governance initiatives at Counterpart International, and contributing to archival research at the Kennan Institute. Kristina’s past roles span international organizations and government institutions, and she has demonstrated leadership as President of PEERS at GWU, founding member of the Armenian Student Organization at OU, and a multilingual communicator with a strong commitment to cross-cultural collaboration.
Education
Kristina is pursuing a Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where she maintains a 3.97 GPA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Area Studies with a perfect GPA from the University of Oklahoma, graduating summa cum laude with minors in Environmental Sustainability and Russian and East European Studies. Her undergraduate thesis on Armenian national identity was published in AlNoor. Kristina also studied abroad in Italy and holds an International Baccalaureate diploma from UWC Robert Bosch in Germany, graduating with a bilingual diploma in Armenian and English.
