Kristen Jeppsen Groves

I am currently a busy mom of 5 young children and a military spouse.  I run a graphic design company called Brushfire Blue, where I create prints and canvases for home and office.  My background is in Dance Choregraphy and Dance Education.  I have and MFA from Ohio State University and an BS in Dance Education from Brigham Young University. 

I have been running my own graphic design company the last four years.  It allows me to design and create art remotely while I've been raising my five children and moving with the military.  I have taught at two universities as an adjunct professor at Austin Peay University and Brigham Young University.  I worked as an independent dance artist, pursuing grants to present work in North Carolina.  I also co-founded Artist, Interrupted, a non-profit that helped offer female artists performance opportunities who needed to take a break from their artform for a time.  We organized performances, conferences, speaking engagements, and workshops for participants in Ohio, Utah, and Washington D.C.

My most relevant education is being a mom of five children and running my own business.  My formal education is an MFA from Ohio State University in Choreography and a BS in Dance Education from Brigham Young University.
