Kristen Galatas

I’m an EMT with about five years of experience in both EMS and hospital settings. I’m originally from Southeast Louisiana, spent a few years working in Oklahoma City, and now live in Minnesota. I’ve also worked as an ER Tech, so I’m comfortable both on the truck and in the hospital.

I’m easy to work with, adapt quickly, and take my job seriously without taking myself too seriously. I’m currently looking for travel opportunities to keep learning, gain new experiences, and work in different systems.

I’m an EMT with five years of experience working primarily 911 in both ALS and BLS systems. I’ve worked in Southeast Louisiana, a high-call-volume service in Oklahoma City, and most recently in Minnesota. Along the way, I’ve gained experience with critical patients, interfacility transfers, and in-hospital emergency care as an ER Technician in a rural Minnesota setting.

I’m confident in my assessment skills, adaptable to different systems and environments, and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-stress situations. I take pride in providing safe, compassionate care and being a strong advocate for my patients, while also being a reliable teammate who shows up ready to work.

I completed my EMT education through the National EMS Academy (NEMSA) in Covington, Louisiana. I earned an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management through Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA). I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as of summer 2025, which I obtained by successfully challenging the state certification exam.
