Nursing Student Technician | Western Reserve Hospital | February 2023-Present

Provide direct patient care for teams of up to 24 patients. Assist with activities of daily living, including ambulation, bathing, toileting, and feeding. Collect and document patient vital signs and report abnormal findings to nursing staff. Accurately monitor and document patient intake and output. Collect and document blood glucose values and report abnormal findings to nursing staff. Perform bladder scans, EKGs, foley insertions, and blood draws. Observe and assist nursing staff during various medical and nursing procedures, including wound dressing changes, IV insertions, and midline, as well as PICC line insertions. Monitor patient cardiac rhythms via telemetry monitors. Train new Nursing Student Technicians and Clinical Technical Assistants.
