Kirk Simonyan

I worked as an armed security guard for 20 years at the LACMA museum in Los Angeles. I served in the Russian special forces (Spetsnaz) from 1983-1985. I have extensive experience in navigating through nature. I used to lead teams/tours in the Aragats mountains and other mountainous areas in Yerevan, Armenia. While I served in the Russian Forces, I also explored the Siberian forests; I am used to different climates as well as being able to quickly use my critical thinking skills to survive harsh environments, as well as lead people through difficult pathways. During my time as a security officer, I provided customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. I respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. One of my tasks was to conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. 

     Security-Armed Guard  (2005-2023)

• Lifted heavy front gates to close/open during closing hours.
• Observed and identified suspicious activities, persons, or vehicles that may pose a risk to the property or individuals.
• Provided customer service to guests and visitors to the facility.
• Provided a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors through regular patrols and monitoring of security cameras.

• Provided personalized travel arrangements for guests, including transportation, accommodation, and tour reservations.
• Developed an emergency response plan to ensure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency in the mountains.
• Provided exceptional customer service and care during tours, increasing positive customer reviews.
• Developed a series of engaging and informative tours for visitors to the local area.
• Developed a comprehensive guidebook for visitors to the local area, providing information on attractions, activities, and services
