About Kieya Funk:

As a senior at Kennesaw State University graduating this month (December 2025), I’m completing a double major in Professional Sales and Marketing. I’m passionate about understanding people — what drives their decisions, how they communicate, and how genuine relationships can turn into long-term business growth.

My experience on the KSU Sales Team has allowed me to put my skills into practice. Competing in high-pressure scenarios pushed me to ask the right questions, listen for the real pain points, and adapt quickly. Those competitions complemented what I learned in the classroom, where I developed a strategic foundation in communication, negotiation, and marketing analytics. Together, they taught me how to approach challenges thoughtfully while still performing in real-time situations.

Across both sales and marketing projects, I’ve worked on diverse teams, led discussions, and collaborated to hit goals under tight timelines. I genuinely enjoy environments where everyone brings different strengths to the table — it pushes me to be a better teammate, communicator, and leader.

As I step into the next chapter, I’m excited to bring fresh ideas, a strong work ethic, and a people-first mindset to an organization that values growth, business development, and meaningful customer relationships. I’m eager to connect with professionals who share that same vision and are looking to make an impact in the sales and marketing world.

Experience

I have worked in customer-facing and sales-focused roles where communication, organization, and relationship-building were key to delivering results.

Shift Lead — Clean Juice (2023)

Managed front-of-house operations, trained new team members, handled customer issues, and ensured smooth workflow during peak hours. This role strengthened my leadership skills, accountability, and ability to problem-solve in fast-paced environments.
 

Sales Intern — Hoffman Financial Group (2024)

Supported advisors with meeting preparation, client documentation, and follow-ups. I gained experience organizing client information, maintaining professionalism, and communicating clearly with internal teams.
 

Sales Team Competitor — Kennesaw State University (2024–2025)

Represented KSU in competitive selling environments focused on objection handling, needs discovery, and strategic solution selling. This experience sharpened my negotiation skills, active listening, and confidence under pressure.
 

Across all roles, I’ve developed strong interpersonal skills, learned how to remain composed under pressure, and consistently put customers first.

Education

I am a senior at Kennesaw State University graduating this month (December 2025) with a double major in Professional Sales and Marketing.

My program emphasizes communication, negotiation, customer psychology, marketing strategy, and analytics. I’ve completed hands-on sales role-plays, marketing case studies, and real-world projects with corporate sponsors, which helped me develop practical skills I can apply immediately in a professional setting.
 

Being part of the KSU Sales Team further strengthened my sales abilities by competing in high-intensity, real-time selling challenges that required objection handling, problem-solving, and tailored messaging.

This combination of coursework and sales experience has prepared me to thrive in business development, account management, and customer-focused marketing roles.
