Physical Human-Human Interaction:
• Investigated human-human collaborative manipulation, identifying low-level patterns for negotiation and motion execution.
• Developed a framework for recognizing human intent in collaborative manipulation tasks using force exchanges.
• Demonstrated a robust intent recognizer, suitable for human-robot collaboration in physical interaction control.

Automation of Robotic Cholecystectomy:
• Enabled the da Vinci (Intuitive) to differentiate liver and gallbladder tissues utilizing a state-of-the-art model on the endoscopic images in real-time.
• Reconstructed 3D information through stereo images, controlled the instrument relative to the tissue boundary using visual feedback, and performed energy delivery.
• Conducted ex-vivo evaluations on chicken and pork liver specimens, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed framework.
