About Kevin Davidson:

I have spent the last 15 years working for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a CPS and foster care worker and a data analyst.  My passion is in leadership and employee engagement. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in leadership.

• Managed up to 15 ongoing children’s protective services and prevention cases.

• Gained advanced knowledge of requesting, analyzing, and synthesizing information from large data sets to determine root causes and offer suggestions. for enhancements to improve data integrity for Federal Reporting with the MiSACWIS Project.

• Attained advanced knowledge of the MiSACWIS and CCWIS software systems, including innovative improvements to assist frontline staff. These are the software systems used by Children’s Services Specialist throughout the State of Michigan.

• Participating in, and when necessary, leading meetings with internal and external stakeholders to successfully provide deliverables that are on-time, practical for the end-user, and within budget.

• Solved numerous problems and, from concept through completion, held a leadership role with large staff to implement several enhancements to the MiSACWIS system that resulted worker relief and improved efficiency in federal reporting.

• Created and trained staff on detailed concepts so that those staff could create and complete trainings to others on the various content.

 • Director of a 14-bed residential foster care unit.

• Responsible for the creation of professional reports, including Initial Service Plans and Updated Service Plans for foster care youth in the J-Jolt system.

• Facilitated individual and group meetings for residential foster care youth.

• Facilitated weekly staff meetings for John Hall treatment staff.

• Responsible for hiring, terminating, and supervising treatment staff.

• Resolved conflicts ranging from scheduling discrepancies to student behavior.
