About Kevin Augustine:

My name is Kevin Augustine, and I have spent the past eight years working in the healthcare field, gaining hands-on experience in both physical therapy and medical offices. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with patients, healthcare providers, and various systems and agencies, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry.

This past May, I graduated from college, and over the last year, I’ve taken time to reflect on how I can make a greater impact. While I’ve loved working directly with patients, I want to contribute on a larger scale—helping businesses and organizations drive meaningful change that improves lives. One that allows me to address systemic issues, improve operational efficiencies, and create meaningful change that positively affects businesses, communities, and individuals from all backgrounds.

My experience working in physical therapy and medical offices has given me valuable insight into the inner workings of healthcare, from patient advocacy and administrative processes to navigating complex healthcare systems. I have worked alongside medical professionals, insurance providers, and healthcare agencies, strengthening my ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and adapt to ever-changing environments. These experiences have fueled my desire to take the next step in my career—one that enables me to apply my knowledge while continuing to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact.

Experience

I have eight years of experience in the healthcare field, working in both physical therapy and medical offices, where I’ve had the opportunity to help people recover, rebuild, and get back to doing what they love. I’ve worked with no-fault cases, workers' compensation, and sports injuries, collaborating closely with lawyers, insurance companies, and healthcare agencies to ensure patients get the care they need without unnecessary roadblocks.

Beyond patient care, I’ve developed a deep understanding of healthcare operations, insurance processes, and system navigation, which has allowed me to bridge the gap between patients and the often complicated world of medical and legal coordination. Whether it's advocating for a patient, streamlining care plans, or working with professionals across multiple industries, I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can problem-solve and make a real impact. I take pride in my ability to connect with people, think on my feet, and turn challenges into opportunities for better outcomes.

Education

I graduated from the University at Albany in May 2024 with a major in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology. My studies gave me a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, and the science behind healthcare, while my psychology background helped me better understand patient behavior, mental resilience, and the mind-body connection in recovery. Combined with my eight years of hands-on experience in the healthcare field, my education has shaped me into someone who not only understands the science of healing but also the importance of patient care, advocacy, and strategic problem-solving.

Learning about neurology, rehabilitation science, and behavioral health reinforced my passion for working directly with people, helping them recover from injuries, and improving their quality of life. My minor in psychology also gave me insight into motivation, pain perception, and the psychological resilience needed for recovery, which has been invaluable in my work with patients facing sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, and accident-related trauma.

Combined with my eight years of hands-on experience in physical therapy and medical offices, my education has strengthened my ability to analyze problems, adapt to challenges, and provide both practical and empathetic care. It has also shaped the way I approach patient advocacy, treatment strategies, and collaboration with healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and legal teams.
