Kayla Velez

I am someone who is reliable and hard working. In regard to my work ethic, I go above and beyond to provide the best service possible. I am always opened to learning something new and will always try my best to learn as much as I can with any job I hold. I am someone who can manage time well and am capable of being efficient and precise. I am able to hold a conversation with anyone and properly direct others within that conversation to where I need them to be. I am confident in the work I put out and, in the relationships, I have built with others throughout my years. My family and friends trust me to give advice and lend a listening ear when needed. My friendships have lasted more than 10years and I take great pride in knowing that I am someone who has been a part of their lives for this length of time. 

My background is in Hospitality and have over 15 years' experience. Within those 15 years, I have worked retail, restaurant's, call agent, and as a Guest Ambassador for a hotel. This includes being trained on proper food safety, Human trafficking, Computer efficiency, phone educate and being required to self-manage myself and others. Most of my roles ended in a leadership role and was appointed to train new, on- boarding staff.  Most roles I have obtained have also allowed me to progress in my role fairly quickly do to the dedication I have to the work I am involved in. 

I have education in Basic Life Support and certification. I have training in child education and certification obtained from my high school. I am current enrolled in Florida Southwestern State College and am seeking a Youth Counseling certificate in hopes to start my bachelors in this field. All of these skills I have obtained from my education has allowed me to self- regulate high pressured situations and control a room when needed. Everything learned from my education has also taught me to not so bias opinions and to calmly evaluate every situation I come across. I feel all of what I learned are great skills to have in order to work for any company in order to succeed within it.
