With a doctorate degree of occupational therapy, bachelors of science in Exercise Science, and a passion for helping people, I have both the skill set and professional background necessary to dive deep into the occupational therapy field. Doctoral Capstone Experience, Glade Run – Transitions Program                      January - April 2022

Zelienople, PA                 

• Planned client centered individual and group-based interventions for young adults with developmental disabilities
• Implemented interventions to facilitate the development of vocational life skills needed for a successful and independent transition to adulthood
• Presented to upcoming doctoral of occupational therapy students on experiences and outcomes of working in the transitions setting

Level II Fieldwork, Drayer Therapy                                                               August - November 2021

• Evaluated and implemented treatments in the outpatient setting
• Demonstrated proficient time management skills to treat multiple patients at a time and complete documentation
• Worked alongside a certified hand therapist to encounter a variety of post-op hand procedures and diagnoses such as carpal tunnel, trigger finger, arthritis, and fractures of forearm and digits
• Modified treatment based on patient performance, diagnosis, and procedure protocol 
• Demonstrated proficient use of physical agent modalities such as paraffin, moist heat, ultrasound, iontophoresis, and E-stim

• Demonstrated great flexibility by switching between inpatient and outpatient settings
• Evaluated and treated a variety of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Determined appropriate client centered treatment for a variety of diagnoses and conditions including developmental delays, strokes, joint replacements, COPD, heart attacks, fractures, and generalized weakness
• Educated patients and caregivers on joint precautions and energy conservation techniques following hip and knee joint replacements
