June Webster

My name is June Webster and I am currently employed in Asda Opticians as an Optical Advisor in Dundee, Scotland where I was born.  I have just recently ended my 5th contract as a Hotel Representative with TUI.   

I have enjoyed 30 years of face to face Customer Service positions within the travel and hospitality industry. 

Many years ago – in my youth - I began my Hotel Rep career in Jersey, Channel Islands as a Gala Girl (Hotel Rep) working for Gala Holidays before moving on to work with Intasun Holidays in Magalluf, Mallorca.   

I later trained as a croupier in the casino business and as a result of that spent approximately 10 years working on cruise ships as a dealer/supervisor before settling down in West Palm Beach, Florida with a family.  Whilst there I was working on a casino ship called The Palm Beach Princess  out of the Port of Palm Beach for 13 years until it went bankrupt in 2010 with the opening of the landbased Seminole Casinos. 

In 2013 when my mom was ill my daughter and I returned to Scotland and I began a new career in the Optical Industry.  However my love for the travel industry never dissipated and when my daughter started university I immediately applied to TUI.  I have been lucky enough to complete 5 full contracts with them between May 2019 and 2024. 

My employer in the Opticians have put me on a seasonal contract so I can come and go as I please – which is amazing!!! 

I have excellent communication skills relating well to people at various levels from all walks of life.  I am skilful at resolving and diffusing customer service issues.  I worked on board cruise ships – where customer service is tantamount to everything - for 10 years.  I received a gold pin from TUI for my customer reviews posted to the CSQ after their holidays.  I keep calm under pressure.  I believe I have a talent for identifying customer needs and building rapport.  I have a natural aptitude for figures. 

I speak intermediate Spanish. 

Even though I am living and working in Scotland I still have my house in Boca and I fully intend on returning to Florida. (The sooner the better).

I completed a Microsoft Office one year course at Palm Beach Community College in 2007.
