Services offered
My name is Juno Yoon, and I’m an automotive designer with a background in exterior design and 3D surface modeling. I recently graduated from ArtCenter College of Design, where I developed a strong foundation in both creative concept development and precision Class-A surfacing using Alias AutoStudio and Blender.
My portfolio includes a range of projects—from physical model fabrication and UV-mapped assemblies to a concept SUV designed for Polaris Inc., which is now showcased at their Minnesota headquarters. This project translated Polaris’ off-road DNA into a bold on-road presence, emphasizing functional proportions, dynamic lighting, and refined surfacing.
I bring a sharp eye for proportion, strong CAD and visualization skills, and a deep commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions that balance innovation with brand identity. With professional experience in both digital and physical design pipelines, I am excited to contribute to a forward-thinking team and help shape the future of mobility.
Experience
Over the past few years, I have built strong experience in automotive design and 3D modeling through industry-sponsored projects, personal work, and academic collaborations. One of my most significant projects was an original on-road SUV concept for Polaris Inc., where I led the entire exterior design process—from initial sketch ideation to final surfacing in Alias AutoStudio. The project involved modeling 145 UV-mapped components with engineered tolerances, including male and female bosses with 0.3mm gaps for seamless assembly. The final design was selected for display at Polaris Headquarters in Minnesota, recognizing both its creative vision and technical accuracy. Beyond that, I have developed several production-accurate car models in Alias, replicating real-world proportions, analyzing curvature continuity, and ensuring Class-A surface quality. I also work in Blender for visualization and rendering, often integrating both tools to create presentation-ready design assets. My experience extends into physical prototyping, managing CAD data, and delivering client-ready files for 3D printing and manufacturing review—all while balancing creative ambition with real-world feasibility.
Education
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, where I specialized in exterior automotive design. My education focused heavily on creative ideation, form development, and Class-A surfacing, with hands-on training in Alias AutoStudio, Blender, and physical model fabrication. During my time at ArtCenter, I completed an industry-sponsored project with Polaris Inc., where I designed an original on-road SUV concept that is now displayed at their headquarters in Minnesota. This experience, along with multiple production-accurate vehicle modeling projects, allowed me to develop a strong foundation in both design thinking and technical execution, preparing me to contribute immediately in a professional studio environment.
