Julie Mershon

I'm a Graphic Designer from Los Angeles and currently based in the Chicago area. I'm passionate about design and prototyping as a way to bring ideas to life. My favorite part of the creative process is ideation, where thoughts roam free. One of my highlight abilities is to visualize what people are describing, and hone in on solving design problems with creative solutions. I'm fiercely loyal and will see every project through until the end. I strive for perfection but have no issues with producing a MVP under a short turnaround time.

On the more personal side, I love plants, animals, gaming, and anime. Most of my inspiration is pulled from Japanese innovations, designs, and styles both historic and current.

I have both professional design experience from before and after attending higher education. My early career involved graphic design in a fashion setting as well as print and design production using a variety of methods including digital print, ink print, and screen print.

Post educational experience, I focused on social media management, package design, as well as entertainment graphics in both internships as well as professional and paid work environments.

I currently hold an Associates of Science degree in Graphic Design with a concentration in UX/UI design from Santa Monica College, and a BFA in Graphic & Interactive Design from California State University: Fullerton.
