Services offered

I'm number one of five children, the only girl, and a mother of two grown boys. I am not afraid of bugs, animals, or most customers. Helping people is something I enjoy doing, be it a kind word, physical act, emotional shoulder, or lending a listening ear.

Jobs I have really enjoyed were being a cashier in various settings, cleaner and general helper at a veterinarian office, assistant at a shoe repair shop, organizing and finding solutions of chaotic paper files, and be a caregiver when needed.

Approximate rate: USD$ 12 per hour

Experience

From elementary school, I began learning to count back change. As a cashier at my mother's bake sales, I was quick. In a drive-thru, I aimed to have change ready before the receipt finished printing.

I've always owned various animals and served as their primary caregiver and trainer. My experience extends to livestock care. I've provided home and animal sitting services for horses, cats, dogs, and small animals, which included feeding, watering, cleaning, and administering medications as required. I've also completed extended in-home stays.

Additionally, I've provided adult caregiver services encompassing housekeeping, bathing, changing pads, meal preparation, reporting (both written and verbal), medication administration or reminders, non-intrusive background monitoring, and round-the-clock hospice care.

I've looked after my four brothers, my two adult sons, a niece, a nephew, and other children as a teenager, and I've worked in a daycare with toddlers. I'm capable of teaching sign language and counting verbally in several foreign languages (German, Vietnamese, Spanish), though I'm not fluent in them. I began self-teaching sign language as a young child and have continually sought to learn independently.

The satisfaction I get from filing papers and simplifying the process for those who rely on its accuracy is immense. Developing a key to file items that could be described in various ways has been a source of pride, particularly when I discovered it was still effective after more than a year.

Education

I left school in 9th grade, obtained my GED, completed a college math class, joined Job Corps at 19, and acquired the rest of my education through life experiences and the School of Hard Knocks.
