Julia Soederberg

My name is Julia Soderberg and I am currently a student at the University of Oregon studying environmental science. 

During my tenure as Vice President of the Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Oregon, I honed my organizational and communication skills by managing chapter meetings, coordinating events, and ensuring that members stayed on track academically. This role required meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, which are crucial skills for successfully supporting environmental initiatives.

My role as a Brand Representative at Abercrombie & Fitch further developed my ability to engage effectively with diverse groups, a skill that I believe will be invaluable in collaborative environmental projects. By creating a visually appealing environment and providing tailored customer service, I learned how to address various needs and preferences, skills that are transferable to working with different stakeholders in sustainability.

Additionally, my experience at P.F. Changs as a Hostess taught me the importance of delivering exceptional service and managing a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ability to maintain a positive attitude while handling multiple responsibilities will serve me well in a challenging internship setting.

At the University of Oregon, I am deeply immersed in environmental science studies, which has provided me with a solid foundation in environmental principles and sustainable practices. My coursework, combined with my practical experiences, has equipped me with a thorough understanding of environmental challenges and the skills needed to address them.
