Julia Girard

My name is Julia Girard. I have worked roughly 9-10 years in veterinary medicine. I recently worked at an urgent care and learned a lot that I'm hoping I can bring to a classroom setting. I'm very passionate about creating a comfortable and positive environment for others to learn and grow. I love organizing and event coordinating. 

In my first few years in this field I worked as a kennel assistant. Shortly after that I worked about a year or so in general practice. I then assisted the surgery team and maintained the sterilization room for three years. After that I moved on to working at an urgent care for the last four years. I have learned a lot from all these roles and truly loving caring for animals. I look forward to taking that knowledge and experience and applying towards a role in education. 

I am currently enrolled in Penn Foster's veterinary technology program. I received my associates degree from Penn Foster as well. I have an additional associates in arts with a concentration in foreign language.
