About Judit Sarkozi:
I am a passionate and dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience teaching English Language, Literature, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) across various levels, including GCSE, IB, and A-Level. Currently, I serve as the Lead Teacher of EAL at a high school, where I focus on creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential.
With a strong academic background, including a PGCE, CELTA, and QTS, I am also in the process of completing my MA in English, which I aim to finish by June this year. My teaching philosophy emphasises adaptability, cultural awareness, and fostering critical thinking and communication skills. I am particularly skilled in working with diverse student populations and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
I am in the process of obtaining Californian teaching credentials and am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise to the US educational system. I am eager to collaborate with forward-thinking educators and make a meaningful impact in the classroom and beyond.
Experience
I am an experienced and versatile educator with over 20 years of expertise teaching English Language, Literature, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) to diverse student populations. My experience spans GCSE, IB, A-Level, and IELTS preparation across international and British curricula. Currently, I lead EAL provision at a high school, where I also teach English Literature and Language to senior levels.
I have held leadership roles, such as Head of English/EAL, and have worked in various educational settings in the UK and internationally, including Russia and Hungary. My teaching is rooted in inclusivity, adaptability, and fostering a passion for learning, with a track record of raising standards and supporting students to achieve their goals.
With QTS, PGCE, and CELTA certifications, I am completing an MA in English and am in the process of obtaining Californian teaching credentials to further expand my impact in education.
Education
I am currently completing an MA in English at the University of Pannonia, which I aim to finish by June this year. I hold a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) from the University of Hull and The Deepings SCITT in the UK, respectively. I also earned a CELTA qualification from Cambridge Regional College, enhancing my expertise in teaching English to speakers of other languages. My academic journey began with a BA (Hons) in English and Psychology in Society from the University of East Anglia, grounding me in both language and human behaviour.
In addition, I am actively in the process of obtaining Californian teaching credentials, reflecting my commitment to expanding my professional qualifications and contributing to the dynamic educational landscape of the United States.
