About Juan Morales Mejia:

I am a qualified medical interpreter with a 60-hour certificate of interpretation by Americans Against Language Barriers (AALB.org). I love to give to my community. I have done volunteering in different areas, while also taking leadership positions in academic organizations. In the volunteering, I assisted many individuals with limited English proficiency achieve their goals, and I interpreted for them. I want to ocntinue servicing my community, and I see enormous potential with languages. Languages were made to close barriers. Therefore, through interpretation, I can close barriers!

• Interpretation and assistance with linguistic barriers between individuals. 

• Helping in navigating visitors around the hospital. 

• Moving resources like IV fluids.

• I began an initiative to assist students with limited English proficiency. 

• I began helping students with assignments, interpretation, and linguistic barriers to help them meet their personal goals and success.
