Computer Technician / IT Assistant Manager - 2 ½ years

While working as a computer technician I was been able to attain a multitude of social and technical skills that have helped me overcome difficult tasks; some of them are:

• Determine users’ technical needs and provide them with appropriate solutions
• Install hardware, software and drivers on computers
• Install and configure computer networks including LAN and WAN
• Test computers peripherals, hardware and software to ensure that they are working appropriately
• Upgrade software, patches and operating systems on a continuous basis
• Install and configure monitors, printers, speakers, video cameras, and multiple Bluetooth devices
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems

Manage a team of 3 other technicians in the IT department (last year of work)
• Train coworkers on new software
• Maintain documentation of technical maintenance procedures carried out during tasks

IT Specialist - 2 ½ years 

TALK International

During my time at TALK, my supervisor (Kremena Parvanova) and I oversaw the upkeep of various software and hardware for ~80 users. 20 of those users were assisted on-site while the rest were helped remotely via TeamViewer / LogMeIn. 

Other tasks included:

• Upkeep of 3 switches, 3 servers, 12 multifunction printers, 2 firewalls, 20+ APs and over 80 computers 
• Replacement of faulty hardware (broken screens, memory, HDDs, keyboards, etc)
• Upgrade of computer HDDs to SSDs
• Backing up and cloning drives in a regular basis
• Virus, spyware, worm, and adware removal
• Creation of Do-It-Yourself documents for easy IT tasks to reduce unnecessary work
