Johanna Holman

I am prospective a PhD graduate in Cell and Molecular Biology with a focus in human gastrointestinal microbiology (graduation Dec 2025). I am looking forward to taking my years of experience in biomedical research into the workforce, and am interested in both industrial and academic positions focused in health and medical research. 

I have 7+ years of labwork experience as a research assistant and graduate research assistant, and 5 years of teaching experience as a teaching assistant. I have spent a good portion of my time during these years communicating science at conferences and symposiums, and to the general public, and have published 6+ papers, 2 of which I am first author on. In addition to this, I have spent a number of my off hours cultivating my skill as a graphic designer, and have published a number of graphic designs in my publications, and other scientific communications.

I have a B.S. in Biology, and M.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition, and a prospective PhD. in Molecular and Cell Biology.
