Jo-Al Martinez

Hello, my name is Jo-Al Martinez and I've been in the bar business for 12+ years! Over the years I've had the privilege of working with some excellent managers, chefs, and mixologists who have taught me invaluable skills. I continue my education every day by staying up to date with current trends and constantly experimenting with new products as they become available. I always aim to leave things better than I found them, and as much as I love to learn, I love to spread the knowledge I have with others. I've worked every position in a bar/restaurant from dishwasher to manager, so there is nothing I would ask of anyone that I cannot do myself at a high level. I believe in leading by example, and growing the staff around me because a strong, confident team is more likely to be a happy and successful team. Cheers!

I've worked in several styles of bar, from fast casual to craft cocktail bars.  I'm currently employed at the Omni at The Star where I bartend at NHS, poolside, and work In Room Dining.

Attended Brookhaven college as an undergrad. TABC certified, and certified food service manager.
