I have worked at the North Charleston Coliseum for 2 full ECHL seasons, and in that time I have become the Lead Ice Technician, as well as procured my Certified Ice Technician designation. I devote myself every day to perfecting my craft, and producing the best quality ice surface I possibly can. I have a sense for ice maintenance and a skilled background in mechanical maintenance. I have a strong passion for this field and have made very marked improvements to the surface, as well as the ice operations here in North Charleston.

North Charleston Coliseum, Convention, and Performing Arts Center - Certified Ice Technician

September 2023 - Current

• Work closely with the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays to maintain the ice surface as well as operate and monitor the ice plant and resurfacers. 
• Obtained Certified Ice Technician status in just under 3 months after becoming the lead ice technician.
• Lead crew of 8-12 people on game nights and schedule personnel for all positions required to maintain surface. 
• Lead and plan ice sheet installation. Coordinated with both team and arena personnel to prepare for an efficient install.
• Vastly improved the playing conditions of the rink in first 2 seasons with team. Focused heavily on perfecting ice maintenance as well as streamlining training and operations.
• Maintain ice resurfacers as well as maintain other vehicles located on the property.
• Proficient in using building automation software, able to monitor and address most building systems.
• Coordinate with various contractors to plan for improvements or repairs, both urgent and planned. 
• Perform various building maintenance, including arena HVAC repairs, plumbing repairs, limited electrical repairs, and arena amenity repairs.
• Obtained forklift certification as well as man lift certifications.

I have a high school diploma, as well as my Certified Ice Technician designation from the US Ice Rinks Association.
